These are the maximum sizes of the photographs in centimeters, which can be printed without any visible "effect of pixelization". The resolution of your source file is more than enough for high quality printing of smaller formats. We do not recommend that you print photographs which are larger than those suggested by these dimensions, but, of course, you can always order such printing if you wish. The larger the desired print is relative to the recommended size, the more visible the "effect of pixelization" will be. A print quality of 200 dpi resolution without any additional cropping is considered to be 100 percent or standard quality. The experience of our experts has shown us that this number is the minimum at which the human eye can not discern defects in the scaling of the source file. Examples of the estimated quality for standard sizes of files:
It is important to understand that the larger a print is, the further a viewer will stand from it. Therefore, larger formats than the indicated ones are often printed in real life. For example, photographs of 90x60 format and even larger ones are often printed from 12 megapixel cameras. It is also important to understand that when calculating "quality", the robot analyzes only the linear size of a file in pixels and can not assess the image according to such criteria as quality of optics, composition, creative concept and others. This option only helps the customer to determine the size of his file; the final decision on the printing format should, of course, be taken by the client depending on the intended use of the image. Large Format PrintingQuality is estimated on the basis of a 100 dpi resolution in the interface for order arrangement with large format printing. Large prints are usually looked at from some distance, unlike conventional photographs. Practice shows that the satisfactory resolution for large format photographs, allowing for viewing distance, is 100 dpi. |
